A lot has happened over the past year and a half. I had been unemployed since June 2012 and had the opportunity to do Worker Retraining (free education at a local college) to learn new skills that will get me a better job. For my Worker Retraining, I went into Digital Video Production. I had always loved working with video since my teen years and thought it would be good to learn some new skills with this talent and maybe get a job that I actually like.
School ended in December 2013 and with that my unemployment was cut as well. So, I had to spend the holiday season up till the beginning of March with no money coming in at all. It's always fun spending your holidays wondering when money will come in because NO ONE is hiring during the holiday season (and I was looking for seasonal work in October!)! Luckily, I had some connections with an audio/video company in downtown Seattle that sets up audio and video for conferences, meetings, concerts, and sporting events at local hotels and convention centers (even Century Link). They brought me on at the beginning of March (my first day was March 3rd, my birthday). I am in training with them now for three months to see how I fit in and if I can do the job decently or not. I think I am doing good because they are letting me work on my own at a lodge close to home. I guess they trust me enough to leave me on my own. I am not getting full time hours because I am still in training and also it is the "down season". Things should pick up in the next month or so.
Yes, this job isn't anything like what I went to school for, being that I was wanting to get into post production work and doing more with After Effects. But, I figure this job is using some skills that I learned from school with the potential for using my video skills for random projects that come up from time to time. One thing for certain is that it beats working a customer service phone-monkey job.
During my education at Bellevue College learning video skills, I filmed a paranormal investigation in my hometown of Lewiston, Idaho in August 2013 (I actually first filmed one in June 2012, but I can't show that one anywhere). I edited the investigation together and put it on my Youtube channel here:

Some of you know that I like doing the occasional paranormal investigation (ghost hunt) here and there. If yo like that sort of thing, please check the video out!
I will be attending Emerald City Comic Con as a regular attendee this year. The Artist Alley tables are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE now. Over the past couple years, I have never broke even at ECCC since they raise the price every year for the Artists Alley. This year, my friend that I usually share a table with said "Let's just 'attend' a con for once so we can see the events!" I thought it sounded like a good idea so we are going to do it! Our first con that we will be attending as con goers instead of being slaves to a table.
But here's the catch... I am attending this one in "cosplay". "What character are you going as?" you ask. Well... I will give you a clue. Some say he is dress in white...
I wish I had more art to show you all that still follow me or that maybe are still reading this. Things have been busy and I have just been busy with other aspects of life. I hope to get back in to drawing soon. I want to learn more of After Effects because that seems to be what people want from you if you want to get into a video production job.
I am just glad I am working and doing better than I thought I would be doing now. I was ready to go insane there for a bit...
I recommend you all to stop by my YouTube page and check out my video projects. Here's the link: www.youtube.com/user/komikino

Glad I can give you some feedback!
I am a fan of Lineage 2 as well. Check my gallery and you will see its influence on my art. I loved playing that game... till I was banned back in 2006.
